Wearing my disintegrating Chucks tody
One day riding my decrepit bike about 40 years ago I came upon this roadkill, a pair of Chucks, size 7, that actually fit me reasonably well.
They were already pretty worn, with holes in the soles, but the outersole on the right sneaker was still somewhat attached.
I immediately started wearing them as one of my regular bicycling shoe pairs. That wore them down more. At some point the front of the outersole on the right shoe came loose. (The toe hole was already there.) So, since it was starting to drag and catch the ground as I was riding, I pulled it off. And they've been pretty much like this ever since.
