Shoveling Snow Again this Winter in my old disintegrating boots

When it's winter, it usually snows. Good reason to wear my holey garden/ (now mostly) snow shoveling boots.

The grey ones have been in this condition for some years. Somehow, I don't mind the snow that gets inside through the sole. Interesting because I've taken the trash out a few times in bare feet in the snow and the short walk to the curb becomes very painful from the cold, but I've worn these outside shoveling and even shopping for hours and the cold isn't an issue.

The other boots used to be green rubber boots, but the green rubber has hardened and now mostly crumbled away, leaving just the yellow cloth liner. But the liner is watertight. I've stepped in some big puddles with these and my feet have stayed dry, unlike the grey boots!
