Welcome to #LisaDurden’s #BlackHistoryMonthMoment; ImeIme A. Umana, made history in 2017, as the first African-American woman elected president of the 131-year old #HarvardLawReview. She is also a joint degree candidate with #HarvardLawSchool and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. #ImeImeAUmana said she has no interest in joining a high-paying corporate firm. Because she is constantly reminded of people like #SandraBland, #NatashaMcKenna and #TanishaAnderson, whose relationships with the law was tragic, her dream is to become a public defender to represent those who are disproportionately represented on the unfortunate end of the legal system. #ClapForThat!!
