On March 3, 1955, at the age of 15, she was arrested for refusing to give up her seat to a white person on a bus in segregated Montgomery, Alabama, nine months prior to #RosaParks’ famous arrest for the same offense. I knew that there was a woman before Rosa but I didn’t know her name until recently. #OMGIsItOnlyMe??
