Personage with Birds
We lived in Houston, TX, during the mid-1980's. It was an exciting time to be in the city because of the new skyscrapers being completed.
The 75-story Texas Commerce Tower (now the JPMorgan Chase Tower) was completed in 1981 and, at the time, was the tallest building west of the Mississippi.
The "Personage with Birds", designed by Joan Miró, was installed in the building's plaza in 1982.
During my walks while working downtown, I always enjoyed seeing it.
