Vikingshiphuset - Tune Ship
Vikingskipshuset (The Viking Ships House) is at Bygdöy in Oslo, Norway. The museum contains three Viking ships and burial goods.
The Tune ship is displayed in the condition it was found in 1867 (except for the iron bands used for reinforcement).
The ship dates from about 850 to 900 AD.
It was a burial ship. However, because of grave robbers, almost no grave furniture was found with the ship.
I visited the museum in June 2000.
