Shibori Indigo Blue...

I've found this stitched shibori indigo tablecloth (120 centimeters square) at our charity monthly sale... I've no idea about where it was crafted, West Africa? Japan? China? There's no label, no mark, not the slightest element of information...

At places, I can still find little bits of the thread which has been used to wring the white linen along the designed patterns which would resist to the indigo dye and remain white...

I'm amazed at this artistic as well as skillful work of art, it should have taken hours stitching all these small designs into a lovely pattern...
