Congratulations ...
... to a woman with a heart as big as the West.
This week, American Wild Horse Conservation (AWHC) granted Annie Awards to Lynn Hanson and five other videographers, all of whom serve as 'humane observers' when the Bureau of Land Management uses helicopters to chase and then remove mustangs from public land.
The award honors the memory of Thelma Johnston, aka Wild Horse Annie, and the advocacy efforts of the six recipients.
It takes a unique kind of strength to bear witness at a roundup. It is hard, but necessary work.
Sincere congratulations to Lynn and the AWHC's camera people.
