LTF pair Lightning F.3 XR716 "DE" and XS456 "DX" T.5 overshoot runway 21 at Binbrook, April 1987.
Later that year, XR716 was to star as AQ, one of the final two air display season F3s (the other was XP741, AR, which was flown to Manston at the end of the season to be burnt, being finally scrapped in 1995), until her final flight to RAF Cottesmore in September that year. She was unceremoniously dumped and left there to deteriorate in the open until finally scrapped on 14th June 1994.
