From the MTA Arts for Transit webpage: "Balladeer Remy Francois was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and relocated to Montreal, Canada as a child. Here he began singing, playing guitar, and remembering songs of his homeland. Now in New York City performing in churches, restaurants, subways and festivals, Remy is influenced by his rich heritage as well as folk blues, gospel and anything that helps tell his story. Added to the Music Under New York roster in 2009, Remy plays weekly in the subway, and has a regular gig at Le Bistro."
