Nanaimo's Parkway Trail in spring

The 'parkway' is actually the four lanes of pavement alongside. In less enlightened circles that may be referred to as a 'highway'. Cynics may even call it a 'road' or, God forbid, a 'freeway'. If that's a 'parkway' I guess you'd want to send your kids to play on a 'roadway'.
