Hedjaz Railway - The Official Hedjaz Railway Photo Album - Photo Nr. 18
Exact location unknown, but probably Deraa Junction, in Syria, in 1908. From here, the main line from Haifa and Afula proceeded northwards, to Damascus, and southwards, to Amman in Jordan and down to Medina, in Arabia.
Several steam locomotives are visible in this rarely seen photo. A small La Meuse 0-6-0T locomotive (one of Nos. 2-4, all built in 1901) is parked on the right side, and a larger Krauss 2-8-0 locomotive is standing right outside the shed. Another La Meuse 0-6-0T is parked a little further, and the last one is again a Krauss 2-8-0.
