Downtown Boston from Fan Pier Park

Without a doubt the most photographed view of downtown Boston, but one you feel compelled to try if you're in the neighborhood. Best attempted on a cold winter morning (like this one) when you'll likely have the place mostly to yourself. This was taken just before the B&W version I posted way back. I've learned a few things in the interim, like how to use the Nik Collection and correct for lens distortion in Lightroom.

For a variety of reasons photography has not been in the cards for me of late. Looking forward to getting back into the swing in the near future (hopefully). My apologies for being largely absent from your photostreams.

Filters: Landscape polarizer, 1-stop soft-edge GND, 10-stop ND.

Tidbits: Directly behind me is the Moakley Federal Courthouse, headquarters for the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and venue for some recent high profile trials, including that of mobster James "Whitey" Bulger, and surviving Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
