Funeral for a Friend

India Point Park

Providence, Rhode Island

Remnants from the Port of Providence at India Point (Est. 1680 and so named for the tea and spice trade with the East Indies)---once a center of maritime trade, and then a scrapyard during the Great Depression before being destroyed by the infamous New England hurricane of 1938. (Ref: Project by Sarah Baker, Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology & the Ancient World, Brown University, 2009)

These decrepit-old-pier-long-exposure shots are probably cliche, but they're a cliche I happen to like ;-)

Filters: Gold-N-Blue polarizer, Big Stopper (10-stop ND)
