Place of Boats

North Watuppa Pond

Fall River, Massachusetts

From Wikipedia: The Watuppa Ponds are two large, naturally occurring, spring-fed, glacially formed ponds located in Fall River and Westport, Massachusetts. Watuppa is a native word meaning "place of boats."

Ironically, boats are now prohibited on the north pond, as it's the City of Fall River's primary drinking water supply.
