Sakonnet Light in Black and White

With some seagulls and cormorants thrown in for good measure

Little Compton, Rhode Island

Taken at the start of a hot and humid day with a hazy but cloudless sky. It wasn't hot enough at this point to preclude a long exposure, and there was a cooling breeze near the water. I wasn't totally happy with the conditions, composition, or overall shot, but decided to tinker with it; my goal was to experiment with the 70-200mm on landscapes, and this seemed like a good opportunity. Like my previous post, this one also seemed to benefit from a frame; here in particular because of the lifeless sky (by my eye, at least).

Filters: Gold-N-Blue polarizer, 15-stop ND
