Elbergen, West Germany

This is 0-10-0T 094 720-0 coupled with another 0-10-0T 082 008 running light engine(s) near Elbergen on the Rheine to Emden line.

Niek Opdam kindly supplied the following information about the likely reason for this unusual movement.

'Its clear what these engines did: with freshly painted bufferbeams they returned after some small repairs from Lingen works to their home sheds: for 082 008 this was Koblenz-Mosel and for 094 720 this was Hamburg Rothenburgsort. 082 008 finished regular service at the end of 1971 and 094 720 was sent at the end of steam in Hamburg to Emden in September 1972, where it finished its duties in 1973.'
