Environments Emphasized Through Surface Manipulation: Piece One

In this piece I combined two different classifications of environments: the forest and the city. These two made the most sense to me because the city took over what was once all forest and woodlands.

In this piece I cut up a piece of mat board and glued the cut edges back onto the piece and painted over it with acrylic.
