Station 35 Push-In Ceremony
BernCo Fire Rescue held a special “Push-In” Ceremony on Nov. 13, 2024 to celebrate the arrival of a new engine at Fire Station 35.
The tradition dates to the late 1800s, when horses pulled fire wagons to stations.
Today, this symbolic ceremony continues as firefighters push the new engine into the bay by hand, welcoming it into service.
Additionally, BernCo Fire Rescue would like to thank the BernCo Board of County Commissioners for their support and commitment in approving the purchase of the new apparatus which strengthens the ability to serve and protect the community.
The engine was purchased utilizing public safety tax dollars that was originally passed in 2015.
