Manik- story of a street boy
Some people were calling him BABU, some one told me the original name is MANIK. but the name is not an issue. he was working in the street of kolkata just like other busy people of a mega city. starting from serving the people as per their order, disposing the plate, washing them in a water tub and again arranging the plates in a separate plastic container for the next batch. for an hour I continuously observed his sharing of happiness with the co-worker of the street shop. His dedication, time management skill, man- management really caught the attention of my lens.
moreover another issue caught my attention he is a below average age child for such kind of hard job..... also he works 14 hrs a day......but if the "CHILD LABOUR" issue is by passed then he is quite happy with his job as he has also learnt the great DARWINISM - "survival of the fittest" not by studying in any school but by earning his livelihood with enormous hard work. really my hero of the story deserves a grand salute from all .
