Cumbres and Toltec
The DRGW 315 hauls a short train up Cumbres on one of its early visits to the C&TS. After sitting for years in a park in Durango, the 315 was restored to serviceable condition by a dedicated group of volunteers in the Durango Railroad Historical Society. Initially its home was the former Silverton Northern engine house at Silverton and it operated occastionally on the Durango and Silverton. Then it made several visits to the Cumbres and Toltec, and eventually found an alternate home on the C&TS where today it sees fairly frequent use on special and charter trains.
