I loved the BN despite the loss of so many cool predecessor roads and have went far out of my way to shoot it over the years, I also have bought or traded for tons of BN material especially of PNW Alco fleet. I visited this area for a week in 1979 but sadly didn't come away with anything resembling what the local shooters were able to accomplish. I missed posting last night SNS due to having to work extremely late so I'll post some older stuff this morning as late SNS's. Here is a masterpiece by Greg Stadter showing BN 4361 leading a couple more Bigs and a pair of inconsequnential 4 axle EMD's at North Portland in June 1976. Chuck Schwesinger collection.
