A Trio Kind Of
All of these units started life as GP35's but by the time I took this photo the trailing pair were more like GP38's as they were rebuilt into 2000hp non-turbo units. WC 731, 4009 and 4005 are westbound at Stevens Point east on October 28, 1992. I never had much experience with 731 in its WC days but it was one of the worst out of the SOO's small fleet of 35's so I was surprised it lasted as long as it did. Maybe someone finally figured out its problems or maybe WC was always so power strapped that they just put up with it.
