South of Sagola
Rolling right along four miles south of Sagola MI is this Milwaukee eastbound with 5003, 310 and 2042 up front leading 42 cars. I caught this job coming out of Channing and shot it multiple times as it made its way toward Iron Mountain in great light. At Iron Mountain I broke off the chase and headed back toward Escanaba to spend the rest of the day shooting C628's on ore trains. In retrospect I probably should have followed this job into Wisconsin as the Milwaukee and its U-boats would be gone from Upper Michigan a lot sooner than the CNW C628 fleet. September 30, 1979.
