An Old Friend
SOO 408 truly made a pest of itself in the Upper Peninsula as it just kept showing up time after time during the last couple years of SOO operations here. In the view you can never see enough high hood geeps I'll share yet another shot of it this time leading Lake States train 12 westbound near the M-28 crossing at Dafter on April 23, 1987. At the time I was pretty disappointed that the rare Lake States nose lettered SD39 was trailing but now it doesn't look so bad.
