My Kind of Leader

This didn't happen often, but when it did I was there every chance I could get. The AC F's were not preferred leaders and I believe Don has mentioned there was a directive they were not to lead in freight service but once in awhile it did happen and April 17, 1997 was one of those days with 1753 leading 6590 and 6619 on train ESSOA near Fibre. ESSOA was the job that moved the Ladysmith/Tilden ore from Escanaba to Sault Ste. Marie Ontario. It normally was a very early morning affair at Trout Lake often going through before I was off my morning shift but I was really lucky this day with it running a couple hours late, the F leading and the sky clear all at once.
