Just Marching up the Hill

Train 909 lugs up the grade departing Trout Lake near MP 447 on January 5, 1983. 755 works the one unit wonder west with 44 cars on a typical Upper Peninsula winter day. Cloudy, cold, windy and dark are our most common conditions. Like most of SOO's SD40-SD40-2 fleet I remember 755 as a good puller and while the run to Gladstone will not be fast going it alone on wet rail the 755 will perform as expected and make the trip without drama.
