An Uncommon Sighting

After the early 70's EMD SW units weren't seen east of Gladstone very often on the SOO. Geeps became the common power on the transfers between the Twin Sault Ste. Marie's. That started to change again in the 80's after the SOO bought the MN&S and later MILW as more M/U equipped SW's flooded onto the roster. MN&S 30 is trailing the road power of 757 and 6610 on train 910 at Trout Lake as they back to there train after making a set out on September 16, 1984. The MN&S SW's were really decked out with spark arresters, snow plows and Flexicoil trucks.
