Well its not a plow train....but

Do to a favorable schedule with a fair amount of daylight running in the 70's and early 80's most of the older engineers out of Gladstone tended to work east to Soo Yard. These guys were true pros and some had cut there teeth running on trains 7 and 8 the Atlantic Limited back in the 50's. The 40mph speed limit was winked at on more than one occasion in an effort to get over the road quickly and they knew the rough spots like the back of there hand. Veteran Larry St. Martin has the air set up good as he flies along at 40+ three miles west of Trout Lake with 4403 and CR 6398 trailing 103 cars on 912 in March 1980. By the time the caboose rolled passed me he was down to about 20mph and approaching the yard board at Trout Lake. I did get dusted properly:)
