Transparency is a new solo theatre show that takes a deep dive into the everyday life of a transgender male through the relatable, funny and brutally honest lens of a northern working class family.
Whilst Jack navigates the hurdles of transition, the old family dynamics are shaken up. Meanwhile he's asking what it is to be a man in this society, and what kind of man he will be.
Written and performed by Jaden Adams (he/him), Transparency carries us through the uncomfortable, sobering and intriguing journey of a fully human transgender life. The five characters offer different perspectives, breaking down barriers to dialogue and making space for many of the questions that can be difficult to ask.
Jaden Adams is a trans-male actor who grew up in Oldham. He brings you this grounded, real, yet radically expressive performance - one an audience won’t forget. Transparency is supported by a team including Olwen May, Mary Cooper and Francesca Murray-Fuentes.
