Same spot almost exactly 54 years earlier. 45593 Kolhapur is in charge of the 9.20 St Pancras to Glasgow seen overtaking a 9f in the loop, on 19th August 1967. Today's working had 50% more coaches !
I had forgotten there were trees at Blea Moor in 1967, but on the West Side. Shot taken from the west side water tower, which along with the one in the picture has long gone.
