Stepped Feature in 8Km OSIRIS Image

This odd feature was spotted on this OSIRIS image of a depression/crater on top of the head lobe in the Ma'at region. Thought to be perhaps a camera defect or a piece of lint on the detector, it is actually a couple of small steps showing through from the sub-surface topology. At the near end the two steps merge into one. I have drawn lines to indicate the different levels of the steps. www.esa.int/spaceinimages/Images/2015/01/Comet_from_8_km Credits: ESA/Rosetta/NAVCAM – CC BY-SA IGO 3.0
