Preiser Fairy on a Thimble

Well, I got this thimble off of Ebay ... it is a Nevada souvenir thimble ... I got my first Preiser fairy (standing, with much smaller wings that broke off) from there as well, to use as a figurine in D&D. I wanted a tiny sprite or pixie figurine (for some reason, Preiser refers to this and the other I just mentioned as elfe ) who was femine looking. Preiser's HO Scale figurines were really the only option. This one worked better for me, as her wings are pretty sturdy, and while she got a mark on her butt ( paint flacking off?) from when I took her out of package, accidentally removing her from her included clear pedestal, which evidently was meant to stay on, and had some kind of tiny mark or something on her back and a bit of bad paint on one leg, she was fine otherwise. I had envisioned my warlock (Diamond, a cat person, of tabaxi race) having a pixie patroness, Tantra, looking a lot like Zarina, the pirate fairy from Disney's Pirate Fairy film in Tinker bell series of direct to video films. As such, her hair should be brunette, not blond ... and wearing clothes. Thankfully, no one in my local comic Shoppe Adventure League seemed to perturbed by that, nor my mother, who is normally quite prudish. It turns out I misunderstood the role of the arch fey in writing the character, as I was really concerned with developing a reason for the two to form a pact, as the player's guide strongly encouraged. So I have developed quite a foundness for Tantra. I needed a base to cover up that bald spot on her butt, so thought of a die, a rock, or a thimble ... especially gambling themed, as her minion Diamond is a heavy gambler. The glue took quite well so far today, with no excess glue showing, unlike the standing fairy. The wings did slip off the other one today, sadly. As such, I likely will not try gluing them to a fully clothed HO figure.

If anyone wants to read more about Tantra and Diamond, let me know... I might post to Tumblr what I wrote ...
