I made a short stop at the Cut River Bridge on my way back from Tahquamenon Falls last month. It's an impressive span, and trails lead down to the river below, which I of course checked out. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cut_River_Bridge I found my mind thinking back to 2005, when my son was part of a state championship marching band. Their program opened with a song called "Tempered Steel."
