Replace the above word "bullying" with "teasing".
When somebody tells you that they are "only teasing you", they really mean that they are only laughing at you. They are only making fun of you. They are only mocking you. They are only belittling you. They are only getting a sadistic enjoyment out of making you feel like shit in front of as many people as they can. They are only getting an ego boost when they hear everyone else laugh at you as well.
It makes them feel big, to make you feel small.
And when you ask them to stop, it only encourages them to do it more and more.
And for some people, they do it their entire lives.
Some people never grow up.
