hard lessons

I left home with a target in mind and once I was close, another storm to my southwest really piqued my interest just by its appearance on radar. I drove under this storm (it looked amazing at the time) and headed south. About 20 miles in, the other storm was clearly dying on radar, so I made the hard choice to turn around and haul ass to try and catch back up. I hit Seward Nebraska and this thing was layered up and gorgeous, but right on top of me. More time now trying to get away from it so I could capture something and hope that it held together. It was getting dark and I had to find a view, so I turned onto a gravel road and I was greeted with this beautiful cut hay. The storm had lost a lot of its structure, but this foreground helped ease the sting. The lesson here; take advantage of the opportunities that are right in front of you, the next best thing might just be teasing you!
