Canadian Pacific, Watercress Line 1616_086
I have been taking my panning shots at 1/60th, which seems to be ok most of the rime.
As Heritage railway, speed limit 25 mph, so not much movement in wheel, connecting rods et. So thought try 1/40th. If enlarge, I can see some movement so partly successful.
Trouble with the Watercress Line is view points are from the northside, so looking into light. This morning it could not have been worse ! Bright sun, so when photographing train and try to keep same spot as focus, in deep shadow. I usually try to keep the number as focal point, but this morning difficult to see if I was on the right spot.
I fitted polariser to reduce light by 1 1/2 stops as iso at lowest setting without.
Trains run just couple days per week, and now not for winter, so nearly the last chance to try.
