Tribal people live in longhouses that are the center of community life. The houses can contain up to 100 families individually separated into apartments and built under a long roof. Here, they are Iban. They are believed to be from Sumatra and migrated to find new farmland. This migration did not go smoothly, armed conflicts broke out with the other ethnic groups present, with the enslavement of the vanquished and, as trophies, cut heads, which earned them the name of Headhunters.
