Great Shunner Fell from the path into Thwaite.

Third highest peak in the Yorkshire Dales at 716m. Not so well known is the fact that it is one of the bulkiest hills in the country, a great spreading pudding of a hill. I attempted a dramatic, attractive picture and came up short, sorry.

NB The pimple on top is not the top, the fell goes a good deal further back. Compensation is an excellent paved footpath from the top into Thwaite.
