Lonscale Fell
Bookended as it is 'twixt Skiddaw and Blencathra poor Lonscale Fell has very little attention paid. It deserves more.
The valley on the right is the valley of the Glenderaterra that swells the waters of the River Greta. This it did to great effect in 2015 when Storm Desmond, our extratropical cyclone caused extensive damage to the whole county.
The white building is Derwentfolds, a holiday let.
