The Austrian Control Bank (no. 3-4) was built in 1912-1915 by the students of Otto Wagner, Otto Schönthal, Emil Hoppe and Marcel Kammerer. In the Corporate state was here the seat of the Fatherland Front, which was stormed on 11 March 1938 under the leadership of Hanns Blaschke of the NSDAP, in 1938 it was shortly the seat of the Gauleiter of Vienna, since 1946 it is the seat of the Control Bank. At this place was located from 1630 to 1913 the Apostolic Nunciature (see Palais of the Apostolic Nunciature), in which from 1668 to 1671 Antonio Pignatelli, the future Pope Innocent XII, was working.
Die Österreichische Kontrollbank (Nr. 3–4) wurde 1912–1915 von den Otto-Wagner-Schülern Otto Schönthal, Emil Hoppe und Marcel Kammerer erbaut. Im Ständestaat war hier der Sitz der Vaterländischen Front, der am 11. März 1938 unter Führung von Hanns Blaschke von der NSDAP gestürmt wurde, 1938 war es kurzfristig Sitz des Gauleiters von Wien, seit 1946 ist es Sitz der Kontrollbank. An dieser Stelle befand sich von 1630 bis 1913 die apostolische Nuntiatur (siehe Palais der Apostolischen Nuntiatur), in der von 1668 bis 1671 Antonio Pignatelli wirkte, der spätere Papst Innozenz XII.
