Visit to Wentworth
The spire of new Holy Trinity Church, Wentworth is 200ft high and can be seen for many miles around. Designed by John Pearson, leading Victorian architect in the 1870s, some say Pearson based Truro Cathedral on its majestic design! The acoustics inside are stunning for music and singing, if not for the spoken word. Architectural historian Sir Nikolaus Pevsner called the church: "a very fine, sensitive, and scholarly piece of Gothic Revival."
