Visit to Wentworth

Local historian Pat McLoughlin opens the door to the vestry where the stairs and passage down to the Fitzwillam Crypt are found. Visitors these days are only allowed access accompanied by a guide.

In the background you can spot the dog at the feet of the effigies of Thomas Wentworth and his wife Margaret on their 1587 chest tomb.
