Multimodal Composition I: Surviving (and Reframing) the Era of Multi-Platform Advertisements, Social Media, YouTube Videos, & Cyber Bullying

Students from English 1091: Honors Composition showcased various multimodal compositions analyzing aspects of contemporary culture. From analyses of public service advertisements and viral YouTube videos to research related to the positive and negative effects of growing up online, presenters learned to compose in various modes (e.g. aural, visual, linguistic), use different formats (e.g. blogs, brochures), and co-opt different communication platforms (e.g. Tumblr, Facebook) to reach real audiences.
