First Dance
This was from my first night in the Auyuittuq backcountry in 2024. The first night was clear, and the aurora started dancing almost immediately after sunset. I found myself scrambling around to make the most of it, trying to explore any of the scenes I’d scouted earlier in the day (in daylight). This was one of my favourite scenes to come together from that night’s work to capture the northern lights. Hard to get sleep when nights look like this in the arctic!
