Confetti

The Weasel River in Auyuittuq national park is a feature which is really responsible for sculpting most of the scenes I photographed on my trip. In fact, the weasel, or the rivers/streams that feed it, are in nearly every image I took while I was up north. While the mountains are incredibly dominant, the narrow distance between peaks created all kinds of opportunities to photograph the river itself, and with interesting and dynamic lighting conditions.

For this scene, I was really taken by how the light on the mountains in the distance reflected of off the river braids, making them almost glow in the low light. Neat!
