Shrouded

The short period I had in this park is absolutely etched into my memory. This was a common scene from that experience - rain passing, followed by clouds drifting to reveal massive mountains standing tall above the valley floor. These mountains would come and go throughout the walk - I wouldn’t even know they were there until the wind picked up! Normally I’d be pretty excited for weather like this as it can create incredible drama. Unfortunately for me, however, it was the weather that resulted in this trip getting cut short. Significant amounts of rain resulted in river levels swelling and becoming impassible. Parks Canada even ended up closing the park and helicoptering people out! Ah well. Always next year I guess!

Never thought I’d see mountains like this in Eastern Canada!
