Day 2 of the patient wait for light at Bow lake. After a quick snowshoe, I found this lovely stand of trees grouped together under the mountain. It was actually a lot of fun to try and arrange them into a composition that felt right, even if I had to post-hole up to my waist most of the way. With that said, unfortunately my tripod was just a touch too short to make this composition work. I ended up instead setting my camera on a timer, then lifting the tripod, camera and all, way above my head. I’m sure I looked absolutely ridiculous, but I regret nothing. And here I thought I’d never use lens stabilization for landscape photography!

Another day of soft light at bow lake, another composition that I actually really like! The wait for light continues!
