So It’s been a bit of a busy summer and I haven’t been able to get out to take photos much at all, and especially not in places far from home. Three weddings, two bachelor parties, and a honeymoon will do that. With that said, my saint of a wife did allow me to disappear for a morning on our first trip as a married couple to hop in an airplane and photograph some of BC’s interior from the sky. And thank god she did, because I had a blast!
This was one of the images I captured while flying above mountain peaks at sunrise. I couldn’t get over how some of the distant mountains almost looked like they were breaking waves of atmosphere off in the distance, while the nearby higher peaks took incredible red and golden light. I was like a kid in a candy store - shooting in all directions as quickly as I could - arms, head and camera leaning right out of the open airplane window. What an incredible experience. Hope you enjoy!
