the path

In my most recent trip tot he Yukon, we spent quite a bit of time in Kluane national park, specifically the slims river valley. The valley itself leads to some incredible glaciers, but there is also a lot to see on the long and drawn out walk to the glaciers. One thing you don't hear as much a out is the grizzly bear density in the park. While I've run into them here before, this year we only saw their prints. Thankfully!

This was between camp and where we were collecting water. I saw these prints on the last day of the trip, and must have just missed them on the walk for water until then. Either that, or we had some closer encounters than we thought! Regardless, it's always a lot of fun to see the signs of these incredible animals.

Taken with a Canon 5D IV and a 16-35 f/4L.
